Banquet Coordinator's Guide - Organizing a large banquet is a major undertaking. This guide will lead you through all the steps from deciding on the date and venue to the debriefing after the event. It is complete with checklists and timelines to ensure that nothing gets overlooked.

Curriculum Guides - See at a glance what is being taught in each grade.

Day Plan Guide - What should be included in a good, "works in the real world" lesson plan? Includes sample plans for a variety of subjects. Useful for a teacher in-service day.

Day Plan Format - Replaces the typical commercial day planner with a more useful format. Add the details which fit your personal job situation.

Lesson Plan Format - Prefer to plan subject by subject? This "page a lesson" format will enable you to develop detailed plans for those subjects lacking adequate Teacher Resource Manuals. Do them once, put them in a binder, and they are available year after year.

Long Range Plan - This will help teachers develop their road map for the year. What will we be doing in February? When will we go on that field trip or do that major report? Very useful for teachers and administrators.

Long Range Plans - These are actual plans developed by our teachers over the years. While we may not still be using them as is, they will provide a real help to other teachers or home schooling parents.

Research Report Manual - Need a systematic way to teach students how to do a high school research report? Looking for guidelines for length, complexity, footnoting, and bibliography? Want to teach a proven system for note-taking and organizing? This fourteen page manual teaches all this as well as the latest in proper format requirements for CD ROM's, computer software, and the internet. The stylistic requirements are based on MLA standards. While these are more difficult than the APA format, they are still being used in many college departments, and it will ensure that your students are well-prepared for any university department.

Teacher Annual Growth Plan - Each teacher needs to combine the feedback received from their Principal, Parents, and Pupils with their own Personal reflections to develop a plan for professional growth in the coming year.

Parent Opinion Survey - How do your parents feel about your school and its program? This survey covers nearly every aspect of life in a Christian school and can be used for planning changes to program, curriculum, and staff for the next year.

Teacher Interview Guide - Finding the right staff is critical to the long term success of a school. This questionnaire will help guide the Board through the interview process.

Teacher Benefits Package - In an increasingly tight labor market, it is important that Christian schools offer the best wages they can afford. Money, however, is not the most important element of working in a Christian school. Having adequate equipment, a comprehensive health plan, and the support of parents, board, and administration. The AKCS plan is presented as a suggestion for elements which a school might want to include to attract and keep the best teachers.

Teacher Evaluation by Parents - Christian Schools need to provide adequate feed back to teachers regarding their performance. While much of this comes from the Principal, it is also important to learn how parents feel about the instruction of their children. The bottom line is that if parents are not happy, they will not return. If teachers are a source of the problem, they need to know that and receive help to make the necessary changes.

Teacher Observation-Instruction - What elements of teaching should a Principal look for when observing instruction in the classroom? This form is a tool which will guide the Principal and Teacher in evaluating the instructional process.

Teacher Observation-Planning - Good teaching seldom occurs in the absence of proper planning. This form provides Principals with a mechanism for thoroughly evaluating the Teacher Planning Process.

Three Year Education Plan - This is a copy of our Three Year Plan which other schools can use as a template for themselves. It addresses all the current (May, 2000) requirements of Alberta Learning. Administrators can save a lot of word processing time by simply downloading this file and making the appropriate changes.
