Kindergarten
This is my fourth year as the kindergarten teacher at AKCS. It is hard to believe my first kindergarten class has already moved up to grade 3! During the past two years I was able to teach some classes in grades 1-3 and 6, which allowed me to keep in touch with those students and see their incredible progress. Because there are two kindergarten classes this year, I will miss seeing the older kids on a regular basis, but they are always welcome to stop by and say hi!
Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing competitive soccer, snowboarding, hiking, painting, and playing games. I also enjoy doing construction projects and spent ten days this summer building classrooms in Mexico.
I love children. Their simple emotions, abundant energy, incredible creativity, and excitement for learning inspire me. As I lead and teach in the classroom, I hope to learn from them as much as I teach them.
